A 3-day cycle through Wine Country.

This three-day journey, which begins and ends in Windsor, takes you along scenic rural roads to the heart of Canada’s southernmost wine region.Follow glistening Lake Erie and Detroit River shorelines and enjoy panoramic views of rich agricultural lands. Refuel with local produce at farm stands you’ll pass along the way. Ride down the Chrysler Canada Greenway through charming towns, natural areas, beaches, historical buildings and culinary offerings you have to taste to believe.

This route is suitable for cyclists with experience and comfort riding on roads with some vehicle traffic. The trail incorporates roads with low traffic at low speeds, bike lanes and paved shoulders whenever possible. Some trails are best suited to hybrid bikes, although road bikes can also be used. The Lake Erie Waterfront Trail is an on-road route. The majority of the route is along rural roads with limited shops for refreshments. Cyclists should bring extra water and snacks.

Parking is available at accommodations and Windsor’s municipal parking lots or garages. Multiday parking passes are available. Bike transportation is available on VIA Rail trains with baggage service. Bike rentals are available in Windsor at City Cyclery or Wine Trail Rides/Windsor Eats.
