Pinery Provincial Park
Pinery Provincial Park boasts 10 kilometres of sandy beach on the shores of mighty Lake Huron and National Geographic has described this area as having the “Top Ten Best Sunsets” in the world. The park is home to extremely rare and fragile Oak Savanna and Coastal Dune ecosystems with extraordinary biodiversity. The Pinery Provincial Park can be busy. Make sure to purchase your Advanced Daily Vehicle Permit five days in advance for access to the park.

Winter Activities
Trails are open for winter for hiking, snowshoeing, and cross country skiing. Winter glamping is also available in yurts but book early as they fill up fast.
Campers
The Pinery Provincial Park offers three campgrounds for car camping, roofed cabins, and yurts.
Hikers
Multiple trails for hiking and biking through the Carolinian Forest or rare Oak Savanna.
Paddlers
Hit the Old Ausable Channel for a relaxing paddle. Canoes, corcls, stand-up paddleboards, and single or double kayak rentals are available.
Boaters & Anglers
The Old Ausable Channel supports a warm-water fish community. It is home to nearly 50 common species, including many kinds of minnows, sunfish, catfish, perch and some top predators like Northern Pike and bass. Note that boat motors (gas and electric) are prohibited at all times within the Old Ausable Channel.
