The many historical bridges, buildings, and land marks along the Grand River tell the heritage stories to visitors and tourists of Southwestern Ontario.
The Grand River runs along the Six Nations of the Grand River. The Six Nations reserve spans 190 km2 and has the largest population of First Nations in Canada.
The Grand River also runs along the Mississaugas of the New Credit First Nation Community which spans about 25 km2.
If you continue your journey along the Grand River to Haldimand County, you will find yourself at the Ruthven Park National Historic Site. The mansion at this historical park was built in 1845 and features Classic Greek Revival architecture.
