Ruthven Park National Historic Site offers something for everyone: history, heritage buildings, birding, nature, wildflowers, an Edwardian Garden, hiking, and many places to relax and simply enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The property consists of 1,500 acres and the main estate overlooks the banks of the Grand River. The site’s extensive natural landscapes include farm fields, meadows, Carolinian forests, wetlands, and a one-acre island. The 1840s Greek Revival-style mansion is open to the public at scheduled hours, as well as for pre-booked groups and special events. The grounds of Ruthven Park are open daily for the enjoyment of visitors.
