Visit Website

Named for the lighthouse originally built in 1833 that stands at the tip of the spit, Lighthouse Point Nature Reserve boasts a number of nature trails ideal for wildlife viewing. Among remnants of deciduous forests, savannas and an expanse of wetland rich in aquatic plants, this reserve provides an ideal and rare opportunity for aquatic bird watching and spotting rare species. The reserve also boasts one of the best beaches on Pelee Island too! The lighthouse itself is the second oldest Canadian lighthouse on Lake Erie and is located to the northeast end of Pelee Island and bounded by waters of Lake Erie on every side.
